New Years Day row
Gather at Camden Launch Ramp near Wayfarer Marine, 10am on 1/1/22. Free parking around the yard and street, don't block anyone's driveway, respect "no parking/parking by permit" etc. Bring a bag lunch, sensible clothing choices and a suitable, safe boat for a January Row. This is a weather dependent event. A NO-GO notice will be sent if weather is unsuitable. Let us know if your boat is unavailable as we may have extra thwarts available.
Virginia/Maine Maritime Museum Tours
March 25th (4/1 snow date) - Bring a bag lunch
11:00 “Virginia”, Maine’s First Ship Tour: Meet at the Bath Freight Shed, 27 Commercial St., Bath Maine (just north of the bridge). The Jane Stevens Visitor Center is located in the Bath Freight Shed and Virginia is being built in the boatshed behind the freight shed. Work is also being done in the boat yard on the river side of the freight shed. Tour by David Wyman, the designer of the “Virginia”.
2:00 Marine Maritime Museum Small Boats Collection Tour: After lunch at the “Virginia” we will travel to the museum boat shop located at 243 Washington St., about a mile south of where the “Virginia” is being built. The tour will be conducted by Kurt Spiridakis, Director of Watercraft and Traditional skills.
